Once you arrive, you'll discover that it's hard to go back home. Set up camp; get out the lawn chairs for some major "power lounging" and then light a campfire that burns away all your troubles. Before you know it, you've stepped back in time when the Cherokee Indians were blazing the trail to Big Cove, where the campground is situated. If you listen closely, you'll hear the river calling…or is it the sound of Hawk Laughing's flute putting the sun to bed at the end of another delightful day beside the beautiful Raven Fork River?
Numerous N.C. area attractions are close by as well as Yogi's
own fun-packed Calendar of Activities from Memorial Day through
October. At Yogi in the Smokies Campground, you can listen to laughter and cheers as Yogi Bear
cruises through the campground looking for "pic-a-nic" baskets loaded with snacks - he's always
ready to stop for a hug or a handshake! Go for a swim in out beautiful pool or stretch out and
enjoy good book while the sun colors your skin to a warm shade of tan…
or sit down on a big rock under a shade tree by the river, then dangle your toes in the flow of
cool water as it massages your tired aching feet! If you're feeling a little more energetic, you
can hike over to Mingo Falls for a spectacular view…or get that fishing gear ready to land
some delicious mountain trout for dinner tonight with plentiful
Cherokee North Carolina trout fishing. Too quiet???...then head to Harrah's Casino for a
little more action or a great show from the likes of Brooks & Dunn or Winona - it's all right
here in Cherokee!
